Goodbye
“Goodbye” is a contraction of “God be with you”
The Blessing of Abraham
The “Blessing of Abraham”
“that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith”
—Galatians 3:14
Q: What is the blessing of Abraham?
A: God blessed Abraham with full and complete righteousness because of Abraham’s faith [deep heartfelt believing] in God and what God had said to Him. Abraham did not do any physical work or activity to obtain or sustain a state of righteousness in the eyes of God.
>>>This is the blessing of Abraham from Genesis:
Yahweh brought him outside, and said, “Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” He said to Abram, “So shall your seed be.” He believed in Yahweh; and He reckoned it to him for righteousness.
—Genesis 15:5,6
>>>This “Blessing of Abraham” and the mechanism of “righteousness by faith” came long before the law was given:
Now I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.
—Galatians 3:17
>>>The “Blessing of Abraham” was always meant to be extended to everyone on earth via faith, which is God’s “Good News” to mankind:
Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham. –Galatians 3:7
The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Gospel [Good News] beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.”
—Galatians 3:8
So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful [full of faith] Abraham.
—Galatians 3:9
>>>The Law and “works” are weak and cannot give life or make anyone righteous in the sight of God:
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,” that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
—Galatians 3:14
>>>The Law was meant to “bring us to Christ” and that has been accomplished:
So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
—Galatians 3:24-26
>>>Jesus, the Anointed Son of God, is the Way that everyone can obtain the “Blessing of Abraham”:
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
—Galatians 3:27
If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise.
—Galatians 3:29
>>>Jesus is the reality and substance of a right relationship with God:
Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
—Galatians 5:1
You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
—Galatians 5:4
For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.
—Galatians 5:5
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.
—Galatians 5:6
>>>There is freedom/liberty in the reality of Jesus:
Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
—2 Corinthians 3:17
But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling-block of the cross has been removed.
—Galatians 5:11
For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.
—Galatians 5:13
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
—Galatians 5:18
>>>The Letter of the Law destroys life but Spirit of God creates life:
not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
—2 Corinthians 3:5,6
For if that which passes away [Law] was with glory, much more that which remains [Life in Jesus] is in glory.
—2 Corinthians 3:11
>>>The obscurity and long-distance relationship with God has been eliminated and a veil has been taken away:
But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
—2 Corinthians 3:16
Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
—2 Corinthians 3:17
But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
—2 Corinthians 3:18
>>>Fly, be free!!!
